Management Structure

The TECHNION team, headed by Prof. Hossam Haick, coordinates the LCAOS and also take the chair of Board and General Assembly.  In its function as project co-ordinator, the TECHNION  carry out most of the administrative project management.  The TECHNION collect all reports and cost statements and coordinate all technical reporting and carry out all secretarial work.  In this sense, the TECHNION also act as the project secretary and comprise back-office services that cover secretarial functions, such as organising all project meetings and advising all project partners on administrative issues via phone or e-mail (i.e. “helpdesk services”).

Project meetings frequently take place in various subsets of the Consortium. The General Assembly is scheduled to come together once to twice a year, as needed. The Board meets either physically or virtually via telephone conference at least every six months. The WPs or other tasks shall meet physically or virtually at least every three months, or even more often, if required.

Structure of decision-making bodies of the LCAOS Consortium

Progress is continuously monitored by the project coordinator in cooperation with the administrative project manager (both at TECHNION) and regularly discussed at the Board. Results will be assessed by the General Assembly. General Assembly meetings will take place every six months physically or virtually and will include both technical and financial reporting. The Board will also meet every six months in order to assess the advance status of project activities, or to propose corrective actions to the General Assembly, based on the input of Work Package leaders.

Monitoring also is based on a comparison of tasks already achieved with the general schedule and the desired targets of the project. Appropriate tools for project management, based on well-known tools and standard systems is used and shared within the Consortium. This Task shall mainly be covered by a project management platform developed and designed by LCAOS. This platform ensures the internal as well as external communication requested by the project. Thus, it provide a high degree of transparency for all project partners and the EU project officer, serve as an internal file repository to the project (for storage of all relevant project deliverables and documents) and organize the communication flow between partners or their subgroups. Internal information shall be restricted to members only, who have to be registered and in possession of different rights within various parts of the information structure. The internal web-based management platform will contain a direct link to the external platform for dissemination.
